Was born in 1979 in Taranto, one of the major cities in Italy's "Deep South". Promenade, as he is known as a Dj/Producer, was the name of the Pop-Rock band in which he sang and played guitar during his school years back in Taranto. In 1999 he moves to Milan where he studies at the CPM (Professional Music Center), following the theory, harmony, singing and complementary piano courses. At the same time he begins to cultivate an interest for electronic music. Between 2000 and 2002 he self-produces two albums in the Break-Beat/Break-House vein.
In 2001 he joins forces with Tufo1, another Taranto boy who moved to the
North, and founded "TLD Sound Project", the purpose of which was to bring
together the Jump Up vibes of the "new skool" of Drum'n'Bass with the mellower
Reggae feel. As TLD they begin to work in the Milan area, particulary with
the "Tora Bora" sessions at the Bulk space, near the center of town, with
the aid of 4N, another young D'n'B Dj with a strong Techno-Rave influence.
In 2003 he meets Delroy, old rep for the D'n'B Culture in Italy. The latter
is struck by the potential shown by Promenade and invites him to
collaborate for the "Jack the Sound" events and between 2003 and 2004 Promenade has the pleasure of working with some big names of the international D'n'B scene such as Ray Keith (Dread, UFO, Penny Black), Doc Scott (31 Records), Marcus Intalex (Soul:R), Randall (Mac II Records, Metalheadz), Storm (Metalheadz)... In October 2003 he abandons the TLD project to concentrate on the creation of "Golpe Movement", together with his companion and collaborator Jaja (pron. yah-yah). Golpe is a no-profit association made with the scope of promoting not only music, but Painting, Video-making and Street Art and is on-line as a web-site since early 2004 (www.golpemov.com)
As a Dj our man Promenade is a skilled and precise worker, who plays a wide
selection of different styles, yet favouring the more Funky flavoured sounds.
