Delroy is a Dj/Producer who's been active on the Drum'n'Bass scene for over
10 years. He lived and worked as a Painter and Designer in London from 1980
to 1992.
Back in Milan, in the mid 90s, as a founder member of Guidance Kru, he starts by organizing the "Guidance @ 21st Century" events, in Milan's Pergola Bass-ment, and with the "Guidance in the Jungle" Radio shows. Eventually Delroy becomes resident Dj at the events, pushing an eclectic D'n'B selection and showcasing many labels and producers to the ever-growing Italian crowd.
Over the past few years Delroy has collaborated with Royalize (Royality Rec,
Shee-Been), has become involved with 'Jack the Sound' (another historic monthly
event - Leoncavallo, Pergola), 'Funked!', with Dj Em and Vj Lark, which is
dedicated to more melodic and Funky sounds (BluBar, Plastic, Nubia, Cheval
Café) and now works on the 'Golpe Movement' project (Cantiere Delirio, Rocket ' Milan, El Merendero ' Bari) with Promenade and Jaja, in a quest to unite
all the real Drum'n'Bass forces from Milan to the rest of Italy. Delroy's Dj-ing style is appreciated for the high level of his selection, as well as for his technical skills, keeping a 'Dance-hall' flavour, that depends strongly on his love for the 80s British Soul movement, as well as on his love for Roots Reggae and Lovers Rock.
