Brought up east of London, teens were spent consuming heavy doses of hip-hop, acid jazz, indy and the like with earliest ‘real’ clubbing experiences including The Fridge in Brixton in 1989 at the time when the Soul II Soul collective were resident.  On returning from a year out in Australia and South East Asia in 1992 started studying International Business Management at University in Brighton where an interest in DJing began whilst sharing a room in halls with a DJ from the north of England.  This brought close contact for the first time with the progressive house sound being extolled by Sasha and John Digweed at Shelley’s and Renaissance in that period.
After 2 years managing hotels in Belgium, France and Canterbury a return to London in 1997 signalled a change of work direction into project management and business analysis as well as a post-graduate Law degree at the University of North London.  At the same time a new excursion in musical tastes into breaks and melodic drum & bass. The result being more varied sets crossing from house to breaks to drum & bass.  Clubs included Electrowerkz, J3, The Verge, Mbibe and the infamous Kat’s House Sessions as well as guest spots in Germany and Italy.
In September 2003 married an Italian and moved to Milan the following January.  The one important thing that seemed to be missing from London inspired the Passport project www.passport-music.com.  All about 'crossing the boundaries' musically and culturally Passport stands for diversity, new experiences and quality, bringing good music to good venues unrestricted by genre or established norms.  The culmination of a year’s work as promoter and resident DJ (including nights at Divina and G-Lounge) was to bring the Good Looking Organisation’s Makoto and Deeizm MC to play, alongside local artists, at Milan’s Gasoline club in December 2004.
In 2005 the journey continues with a 3-month trip to South America – so don’t be surprised if future sets are infused with a little samba lick!
